Benefit Support Specialist

This role assists our new business team in the workflow of case submission including working with paperwork, transmissions, applications and other departments.


  • Monitors receipt of new and renewing cases.
  • Handles logging all cases in/out of internal systems.
  • Handles scanning and indexing submissions into the corporate document imaging system.
  • Handles data entry of new business and renewals in the carrier system.
  • Follows up with carrier to obtain carrier approval and policy number; communication of approved policy to the broker.
  • Distribution of carrier renewals to broker; including updating all BenefitMall systems.
  • Reconciles and packages daily case submission to carrier
  • Assists in generation of carrier quotes
  • Handles COBRA


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 or more years related administrative experience.
  • Experience with MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Exposure to group insurance and carrier procedures.
  • Knowledge of insurance sales submission requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
